Descriiption: The inspiration for this project came from Story Corps, an organization where people talk about what has shaped their lives. While the topics of Story Corps interviews are often quite varied, the interview YOU will conduct will be with someone who has significantly shaped your development, and so the topic of the interview is YOU! The person you interview can be anyone who you think has been significant in your lifeâa parent, sibling, grandparent, teacher, coach, mentor, neighbor, or anyone who has spent much time with you and can speak to your development.
A typical interview should last about 45 minutes, including about 10 minutes of warm-up questions, designed to put you both at ease for your conversation. You should have 12-15 questions prepared for you and your interviewee to discuss. Interviews can be conducted in person (preferred), via Zoom or Skype or Facetime, or over the telephone. Interviews should NOT be conducted via email, text message, etc.
You will be analyzing and interpreting the quotes and stories from the interview using key concepts and theories from the course. As you’re engaging with the course content, think about what behaviors you’re likely to observe to discuss those concepts. How do these stories and quotes exemplify (or contradict) concepts and theory discussed in the text and discussion?
