In Week 4, you will have the following assignment. Plan ahead for this assignment by reaching out to your organizationâs HR department this week to retrieve metrics on 2 human resource variables that include either a minimum of 8 quarters or 3 annual data points.
Next week, you will be asked to respond to the following questions in a paper that is 5 pages in length including the title and references pages:
1. What trend do you see in the data points? How does this trend inform us?
2. Is there a comparison benchmark available? Does the organization use a national benchmark as a target? If no benchmark is available, then search the literature for a recent similar benchmark that could be used to compare and contrast the organizationâs trend.
3. How do you see the relationship between the two variables?
4. As a leader in your organization, who would you discuss this information with?
5. What evidence can you find in the literature that indicates best practice and how would you go about applying this evidence to impact the issues identified by the metrics?
These are two variables provided by my HR department
1. Employee Engagement with subset of Sense of Belonging and levels of Engagement/Disengagement based on tenure
2. Annualized Turnover with stratification for MTD (Month to date) QTD (Quarter to date) & YTD (Year to date) metrics
