Hello, Please read the instructions carefully: This Aging Project assignment is an opportunity for you to study and research a topic related to the 65 and over population from a Canadian perspective and to present it in a Power Point form. think about the purpose of your project and write a research question. The project cannot be a summary project – YOU MUST CRITICALLY ANALYZE ONE ASPECT OF YOUR TOPIC and this will form the basis of your research question. You will present evidence based research using scholarly sources to answer your research question. You must have a clear research question or else your project will lack a focus and purpose. The presentation must have the following components: Title slide (include your topic, research question, name, and date) Introduction slide – ensure that the viewer clearly understands your research question Content slides – present scientifically based evidence using scholarly sources to support your ideas Conclusion slide – summarize your project and ensure that you clearly answer your research question Reference page – list your references in APA format Review the rubric before you start the assignment. The project should be at least 8 slides, not including your title slide and reference slides. Use Canadian references that are not more than 5 years old. Cite your sources using both intext citations and full references. The project must look professional, so use images, graphs, charts etc.. and ensure that you site these as well. Submit your project to the Aging Project Assignment folder by the due date. All projects that are submitted to the Assignment folder will be automatically scanned through TurnitIn, which is a program that assesses the originality of your work. The program will generate an ‘Originality Score’, which is the percentage of your project that matches someone else’s work. For example, a project with a 10% originality score indicates that 10% of your project matches another source. Students who submit a project with a score greater than 30% will be required to revise and resubmit the paper until the score does not exceed 30%. Therefore, I highly recommend that you submit the project early so that you can see your score and revise it if necessarily before the due date. If you revise your paper because the score exceeds the limit, and you submit it past the due date, it will be considered late even if your original submission was submitted before the due date. Note – using quotes will negatively impact your score. Therefore, for the purpose of this course I highly recommend that you do not quote text.
