Tasks
1.    Access your paper topic/issue and thesis statement.
2.    Read the list of theories in the sample Theoretical Chart.
3.    Identify 3–4 possible theories based on your topic.
4.    List these 3–4 theories.
5.    Review the citations of the theories (in parenthesis).
6.    Go to the References at the end of the Sample Theories Chart.
7.    Match the references to the theory citations.
8.    Find the corresponding articles using the References (see Literature Search Steps).
9.    Access the scholarly articles.
10.    Read the information about the theories.
11.    Make notes of the information.
12.    Access the Sample Theoretical Framework Paragraph.
13.    Review the information in the Sample Theoretical Framework Paragraph.
14.    Write a description of each theory. (See Example in Sample Theoretical Framework Paragraph).
15.    Evaluate how the theories connect to your paper topic/issue and thesis statement.
16.    Select one or two theories (out of the 3–4 theories).
17.    Evaluate how this one theory or these two theories connect together.
18.    Compose a paragraph integrating the two theories into a framework.
19.    Modify your integrative framework statement–including adding a relevant example from research findings, to better connect the framework to your paper topic/issue and thesis statement (Note. Follow the format of the Example and the Sample Theoretical Framework Paragraph).
