Day 2: Bridging Myth and Reality
In this chapter, Atchison talks about the way people perceive their company, employees and top
management. Use five of the myths found in the book or create your own. Give me an example, in 500
words or less, of when you observed these five myths as the perception in an organization. This may be
something you perceived as the truth or that was perceived by others as the truth. Was this corporate
culture ever changed? Did it come to a head at some point? If so, what has happened in the meantime
once the change was implemented? If not, give some ideas of how it could be addressed and changed. If
you don’t have a personal current example, use one from the past.
