PURPOSE: To gain an older personâs perspective on aging and end of life issues. Students are to interview someone at least age 65 (or older) and ask questions to learn more about their life (in general) and their perspective on topics from our class, specifically related to their person perspective. Students will report findings during a class discussion, so be prepared to share.
INSTRUCTIONS: Use the following questions as a (minimum) guide for your interview. As always, you are welcome to take the conversation in any direction (as it relates to course content) you would like, as determined by your interviewee.

1. Please provide me with a brief overview of your life (i.e. birthplace, schooling, work career, family makeup, etc.).
2. Would you please describe your definition of aging, as it relates to you and your life?
3. What aspects of aging do you find most interesting and enjoyable/rewarding?
4. What aspects of aging to you find most challenging and would change if you could?
5. Do you have an âend of life planâ for yourself? Describe the items or details included in your plan (i.e. disposition of your body/remains, life support directive, estate planning, executor to will/estate, etc.).
6. When did you have your first conversation with loved ones regarding your EOL plan, who did you have the conversation with, and how was it received and was it helpful?
7. How many of your immediate family have an âend of life planâ and who created theirs first?
8. What are you most proud of in your life?
9. Are there any regrets that you have about your life?
10. What is the best advice you can give to someone like me?
