The goals of this review will summarise scientific progress to date in answering following questions:
– Does atherosclerotic mechanisms and pathways differ in adult cancer survivors compared to adult non-cancer patients? For example do cancer patients have higher incidence of endothelial damage by cytotoxic with reduced levels of inflammatory atherogenesis?
– Are there substantial difference in epidemiological risk factors between cancer and non-cancer patients with coronary artery disease (CAD)?
– Which screening method for CAD is likely to be optimal in cancer survivor population? Looking at cancer survivors who are 5 or 10 years post their treatment.
– Article needs to include prevalence/risk factor of CAD in cancer survivors and a conclusion
– To include the type of cancer patients who are more at risk of CAD as opposed to all cancer patients
