Explain who you observed. (Use a fictitious first name or initials.)
Describe how many individuals you observed.
Include the ages and sexes of the individuals you observed.
Describe where you observed the individual(s).
Describe the situation in which you observed the individual(s).
Procedures
Describe the procedure for your observation:
What did you observe?
How long did you take notes for? (Notes were taken for 15-20 minutes whileâ¦)
How many occasions did you make observations? How far apart were the observations?
How did you analyze your data?
What did you look for in the data?
What did you count?
Results
Describe in words what you found in relation to the questions you asked.
Provide tables or graphs.
Make sure you describe all tables and graphs in words.
Provide examples.
Discussion and Conclusion
Restate what your study was about (e.g., I attempted to answer the questionsâ¦[restate the questions]).
Be sure to answer the questions you asked.
Explain how your results relate to previous studies.
Use literature to support your observations/conclusions.
Speculate on why you got the results you did.
Discuss the limitations of your study.
Make suggestions for future research.
Provide a robust conclusion.

In this introduction, you are building a case for your study. You should start out talking generally about your topic, present relevant prior studies, and then narrow down the introduction to your study to provide information about the purpose of your study: what you were examining and why.
Review the Final Paper instructions (located in Module 1) about the Introduction section for guidance on what to include. I encourage you to look at the empirical article assigned in Module 2 for a guide.
Your introduction should be two to three pages in length and should include at least seven articles, which should also be listed in your reference list. T
