In 750 words or less, please answer ALL three questions presented: 1. Describe how nursing is unique as a profession. How would working in your desired role contribute to nursing? 2. Discuss your understanding of the roles and responsibilities of the specialty for which you applying. How does it align with your future career goals? (Include any professional or personal experiences that have influenced your choice). 3. Describe your immediate and long-term career goals after graduation. Include your intended practice setting and patient population. The program for which I am applying is a dual Family Nurse Practitioner with a focus on Emergency Medicine. My professional history is primary working as an ER nurse, I am double board certified in Emergency and Trauma Nursing. Personally, my medical history has always been a burden. I am epileptic, I have ADHD and dyslexia. However, I recently graduated with a master’s degree in Public Health which goes towards the third question of what do I want to do. I would want to spend time in the ER working on my skills, especially diagnostic skills and then venture out to help those that are afraid of hospital settings or are not likely to seek treatment.
