I AM A DENTAL STUDENT!
If the IPE scenario/case does not cover the dental profession directly, you can relate it to the dental profession during the discussion and assignment.
For the IPE assignment, a kind reminder that the word count is around 500 words, however, you can go up to 600 words if needed. The submission deadline date will be sent to you soon.
You can start with a brief introduction/description of the event, then reflect on it. There is no word limit for the description or reflection compared to each other. Preferably, they can be separate paragraphs to make it easier for the tutor to give you a mark for description and reflection.
You can use the points below just as a “guide”, but you do not have to cover all points. Following the rubric attached will help you understand what you will gain marks on.
For the point on “Integrates literature into the assignment” in the rubric, it encourages you to use literature/references (minimum 2 references) to support point of view and importance of different healthcare professions in IPE.
Submission details:
Please use your student number on the title page (no names) on your submission to ensure anonymity. IPE assignments are confidential documents.
· Document must be submitted in PDF format.
· Avoid leaving your submissions to the last minute! Students are required to submit their IPE assignment prior to or by the submission deadline that will be announced on the Blackboard at the beginning of each semester. This date is non-negotiable and requests to change the date are considered unprofessional and will be dealt with as such (professional violation).
· You are strongly advised to check the spelling, grammar and clarity of your document prior to submission
· You have two attempts to submit your portfolio if you face any issues, please notes that only the last attempt will be graded.
· For each activity report, kindly consider the following:
· Word count for each reflection event is: 500 words
· Font size: 12
· Font and line spacing: Arial, 1.5
· Paragraph form
· References are only necessary if you cite a source and should be used sparingly. If included, please use APA citation style.

Reflecting on the IPE activity you attended:
· Describe how the IPE definition was translated into the IPE activity.
· Describe your own professional roles and responsibilities.
· Describe the general scope of practice of other health care students in your IPE team during the IPE activity.
· Was there any other profession missing and how might they have contributed to the IPE activity?
· Identify factors that may have contributed to or hindered team collaboration. In your response use at least one reference from the literature to support your point of view?
· What impact has this experience had on your feelings or ideas about your future professional role as a member of the healthcare team?
