Cancer Discussion Board: Your text states, “Altogether the biologic environment is modified by metabolic and hormonal factors, inflammation, and disordered glucose and lipid metabolism” (Huether, McCance, & Brashers, 2020 p. 286). Explain how each of these factors is related to the development of cancer.

Your friend, who is not in the medical field, says to you,” It seems like everything causes cancer- why doesn’t everyone have it?” As a nurse, you know that our bodies have numerous defenses against cancer. Describe at least 5 defenses we have against cancer and explain how they work to protect us. Make sure you give enough information so that your friend can really understand what you are saying.
