Cancer Discussion Board: Your text states, “Altogether the biologic environment is modified by metabolic and hormonal factors, inflammation, and disordered glucose and lipid metabolism” (Huether, McCance, & Brashers, 2020 p. 286). Explain how each of these factors is related to the development of cancer. Please answer the following question:

Your friend, who is not in the medical field, says to you,” So many diseases can be cured these days with modern medicine, I just don’t understand why cancer is so hard to cure.” As a nurse, you know that there are numerous factors involved in the development of cancer and that many of our bodies’ defenses are overcome by physiologic changes produced by the cancer. Help your friend understand some of the factors involved by explaining at least 5 ways cancer cells evade our defenses. Make sure you give enough information so that your friend can really understand what you are saying.
